Lawyer at the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Sustainable Development Institute (FNQLSDI)

Me Noémie Tassé is a lawyer at the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Sustainable Development Institute (FNQLSDI) since 2022, where she assists First Nations communities in negotiating impact and benefit agreements, protected areas and consultation files. She is part of a team that also offers training and develops tools to promote First Nations self-determination in matters of sustainable development, resources and territory. She previously held the position of Consultation Coordinator from 2019 to 2021 at the FNQLSDI and worked as a lawyer in the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les Changements Climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs. She has also practice civil and commercial litigation in the private sector. She holds a master's degree in environmental law and has been involved in research in social acceptability and liability related to abandoned hydrocarbon wells.
