A member of the Huron-Wendat Nation, Steve Laveau holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Université Laval. Since joining the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (CDEPNQL) in 2018, he has actively participated in a variety of community and external events, including specialized workshops, economic development projects, career fairs, and industry-specific events. Steve oversees the network of Community Economic Development Officers (ADEC) and manages several key portfolios, including procurement, housing, financial literacy, and energy-related projects. Before joining CDEPNQL, he spent over 22 years in the financial sector, including 10 years managing a team of financial advisors.
