
With over 35 years of experience in finance, Martin Légaré holds a bachelor’s degree in administration and a certificate in commercial credit. Since 2017, he has served as Executive Director of both the Société de crédit commercial autochtone (SOCCA) and the Société d’épargne des Autochtones du Canada (SEDAC). Martin Légaré joined SOCCA in 2002, contributing to its mission of providing financing to Indigenous entrepreneurs. In 2005, he played a key role in the creation of SEDAC, which focuses on supporting savings and housing loans for First Nations. A member of the Huron-Wendat Nation, he is recognized for his strong commitment and deep connections with Indigenous communities, the financial sector, and governments.
