
A member of the Abitibiwinni First Nation, Randy Legault-Rankin is the Commissioner for Indigenous Relations for the City of Montreal. His mandate focuses on the continued implementation of the City of Montreal’s 2020-2025 Indigenous Reconciliation Strategy, ensuring the fulfillment of commitments while leveraging his expertise and dedication to strengthening relationships between the City and Indigenous communities. Before taking on this role, Randy worked as a senior communications advisor at Indigenous Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. He also held communications positions at Saputo, Vidéotron, and Wapikoni Mobile, a nonprofit organization supporting Indigenous empowerment through artistic creation. With a wealth of experience, Randy has also been involved in various boards of directors, serving as president of Mikana and as a board member of Psychoéducation Sans Frontières.
