Pierre Picard was elected Grand Chief of the Wendat Nation on October 25, 2024, for a four-year term. To support him in his mandate, he is accompanied by Family Chiefs who assist and advise him on all matters concerning the Nation. With a background in political science and psychology, Pierre Picard is recognized as a unifying leader and an exceptional communicator. He has dedicated his career to improving the well-being of First Nations, whether through social intervention or by supporting organizations seeking to strengthen their governance practices. Respect for First Nations' procedures, realities, and cultures has always been at the heart of his work. His journey is marked by various political engagements and relevant experiences, which he now channels into serving the Wendat Nation.
