With over 20 years of experience as a consultant, Barry Vickers specializes in advocating for First Nations' interests through resource and infrastructure projects. An expert in electrical infrastructure, energy pipelines, mining, and renewable energy, he has negotiated numerous commercial agreements with both the private sector and governments. Barry has worked on projects worth over $50 billion, providing services in project financing, risk management, technical analysis, and procurement. He has contributed to the creation of loan guarantee programs for Indigenous peoples in Canada and assisted First Nations in acquiring stakes in energy and infrastructure projects. His expertise also includes business management and risk assessment, gained from leading a mid-sized company. Mr. Vickers has negotiated agreements on economic benefits for First Nations and possesses in-depth knowledge of Indigenous rights. A member of the Saik’uz First Nation, he is actively committed to promoting Indigenous interests in the business world.
